John Osborne is a poet, scriptwriter, broadcaster and theatre-maker. He began writing whilst studying at the University of East Anglia and has never stopped, producing an eclectic mix of poetry, storytelling theatre shows, non-fictional explorations of everything from radio to the charms of the seaside and even a Sky One sitcom, After Hours. His blend of humour, nostalgia and wide-eyed delight have been capturing the hearts of audiences and listeners since his show John Peel’s Shed burst onto the scene at Edinburgh Festival in 2011.
He gigs across the UK and particularly loves rural touring with his poetry and storytelling shows. John is currently working on a new theatre show and will be appearing at festivals and other literary happenings across the UK throughout summer and autumn 2025.
He lives in Norwich.
